“A lot of adult content consumed today is much more about the performers and their connection (to other performers and the audience) than the layers provided by a bigger production. This type of content might feel more ‘homemade’, hence we created the SELFIES line. Despite the aesthetic difference, I believe such content can fit Joybear’s core brand values centered around mutual pleasure and sex-positivity. In time, this type of content may prove more popular than Joybear’s current narrative style. 

With this in mind, we discussed submitting the most authentic scene from LIKE THIS (our first title in our new SELFIES line) to the Dusk Panel. I would like to hear the feedback from the panel in order to develop this new line. 

The first SELFIES title we produced – LIKE THIS – achieved some of what we set out but also fell short. One of the reasons it fell short might be because we were trying to make the new format fit into our existing style of production and ‘over-producing’ it. Another reason could be because we worked with porn performers rather than real couples. However one of the episodes – DRESSED FOR SEX – stood out and felt more authentic. 

I would love to know what the Dusk Panel thinks of this episode and how we could improve future SELFIES films.”
