Video Games
Taking virtual games to another level are the interactive worlds where people use real-life masturbation sleeves (like the Fleshlight VStroker) to actively participate in the sex happening on-screen. Here, the users can purchase an interactive device to attach to their masturbation sleeve. They then log onto a gaming platform and link up the device so that they don’t need to use the mouse to control movement – they can use… other body parts.

You can also take gaming to another level, when you have multiplayer virtual games where you can chat and have interactive virtual sex with other players. I have yet to figure out if these games include interactive dildos/vibrators but it looks like it might just be masturbation sleeves that are compatible. If you know of a game that connects to vibrators, let me know!

I can’t find a game that connects masturbators to dildos via a virtual video game, but there is major potential there for people to really, really get to know each other online. Imagine a multiplayer game where you can actually feel the other person masturbating? That would be really awesome.

Interactive Porn
The same interactive sleeves that are used to enhance video games are also used with a new interactive type of porn. You can download porn videos that can be connected to your device. Essentially, the video will have certain acts involved (oral, vaginal, anal, etc) and you get to control the speed of the event. You masturbate with the sleeve and whatever the person is doing in the video can speed up or slow down. 

Thankfully there are also interactive porn videos made to have a similar experience with a vibrator (like Feel Porna using the Kiiroo Onyx), which means that the market isn’t solely for cis-male users. 

I’ve tried these interactive porn videos while using a strap-on and it was a lot of fun. The videos are however primarly cis-white-skinny women, so they need to branch out a bit.

VR Porn
Whenever a new piece of technology is developed, you can guarantee that the porn industry is using it! VR porn is no exception but it seems to be getting mixed reviews. 

VR porn requires some preparation. You need to own a headset (there are different qualities and prices available). You need to download VR-specific porn videos and be able to get them onto your mobile device, which is apparently trickier than it should be because no one wants to support the porn industry. Once you have it all set up – you put on the headset and press ‘play’.

The videos are intended to feel like real life. If someone appears before you, it is in 3D and it should feel like they really are in front of you in real life. I’ve never personally experienced it but it seems like there are positives and negatives to these experiences.

The positive is that it really does feel like you’re in a different room with strangers. The videos are believable in terms of the technology, and it seems like reviewers all agree that you can easily become immersed in this new world. The videos tend to be at a 180-degree or 220-degree scope.

The negative is that most reviewers don’t think that it is useful for masturbating. There are two main concerns. The first concern is that there is dissociation between the worlds you are immersed in versus your true reality. There is body dissociation that can throw you off. The second concern is a more practical one. If you can’t see your actual surroundings… then you probably won’t be comfortable masturbating unless you are absolutely home alone with no doubts about someone walking in the room.

There seems to be some room for improvement but you can almost guarantee that the porn industry won’t give up until interactive porn is available to most people. We just have to make sure to advocate for more diverse casts! If you’re going to try interactive porn in any form – support the companies that make diversity a priority. Oh… and have fun!
