The best positions for lazy days

By Janna, 20.11.2025

Sometimes you do feel like having sex but you don’t feel like moving. You know, one of those days when even your duvet feels too heavy, but your libido calls: “Hello, I’m still alive.” Good thing that there are positions for times like these. No acrobatics, no sweat fest, just lying down, enjoying yourself, and mostly not doing much.

1. The classic spooning position

The ultimate lazybones position. You lie side by side, you or your partner behind, and everything goes smoothly. It’s intimate, relaxed and you barely have to move. Bonus points: you can just fall asleep halfway through, without anyone noticing.

2. The sitting lap

A favorite for those who like to feel something happening without having to put in too much effort. One partner sits on a chair, the edge of the bed or on a sofa, and the other slides onto their lap. You set the pace – or not, because sometimes sitting still feels just as good.

3. The lazy missionary

You lie on your back, partner on top, but instead of the classic up and down movements, you focus on slow gliding and lots of body contact. Think slow, languid, and deep breathing. Perfect for when you want the vibes but not the cardio.

4. The reverse koala

Ideal for those who prefer to lie down. You’re on your stomach, slightly to one side, and your partner’s behind you, moving at their own pace. You literally don’t have to do anything but breathe and enjoy. Extra laziness tip: place a pillow under your hips for a better angle and extra comfort.

5. The sofa session

Use your sofa, which doesn’t really have to endure much. Lean halfway against the armrest with your legs over your partner, so you can both stay seated or lounge. Perfect for Netflix with benefits.

6. The leg hanger

For those with just enough energy to fake it. Lie on your back, legs wrapped half around your partner, and let gravity do the rest.

7. The half hammock

This works perfectly on the edge of the bed or on the couch. You lie half-reclined, leaning against pillows or the backrest, and let your partner do most of the work. All you have to do is breathe and sigh here and there. Lazy? Sure. Good? Absolutely.

Better lazy… than no sex at all

Lazy sex isn’t about less pleasure, but about relaxation. Sex can be easy if you want it to be. Not every session has to be a gym session. So the next time you’re in the mood but your muscles are protesting, do yourself a favor. Go for a lazy position, put on some soft music and enjoy some slow sex.
